Rangebe...version 2.0

Had a couple hours to tinker. Got the bar mounted and hinged, and the mechanism fabricated for the electric servo. Just used a drill battery for testing it; it will be wired permanently with a toggle located inside the cab to control it when all said and done. Works slick.

so finally after two hours, I went page by page threw this build and has giving me a lot of ideas to do mine. I just started gathering parts. Love how you stuck with the TTB instead of switching to the SAS. Can't wait till its done! keep it up man. :headbang:

Hey thanks man.

Took me a while, but I found some....

Plasti-Gage in 0.001-0.003 and 0.002-0.006, and I snagged the last 2 bottles of Lucas assembly lube. Time to clean the shop, lay down some towels, and start checking clearances/putting bottom end together.

<------------------- LOOK! got Jim to make a 1 ton TTB group :)

Good night a'livin! Haven't been around for a while, looking good Nathan!

I am amazed by your fabrication skills!! I am researching putting a D44HD under my BII...but it looks like I have found all the info I need right here in your thread!! I thank you and ask if you don't mind if I use your info to fab up my front end here in the next few months?

Was getting tired of welding 3 inches of bead, let the welder cool down, and repeat. Plus it was always on the max setting, and never left it.

So I sold it :D

Bought this today, Im super pumped.

Hobart Handler 190. Just need to wire up my NEMA 6-50r and Ill be set. Now that Ive got some more go-go juice to burn stuff together, I wont hesitate to really start pumping out the custom parts....stay tuned for steering swingers, drop shackle brackets, bed cages and more...

Nathan,

I know this is from a while ago, but I know you like Hobart welders. I was thinking of getting a Handler 125 or Handler 140 in the upcoming months. I won't be building quite as extreme as you, but I do need to teach myself to weld. Which do you think would be a better? :icon_welder:

Thanks!

I absolutely LOVE my Handler 140. Welds up to 1/4" with a single pass of 0.030". I upgraded my gun to a Miller as the parts are easier to come by around here.

IMO any MIG is easy to use. Once you get comfortable on one it doesn't take much to get used to another.

I personally have a Lincoln 170 and 175 Plus, they are 220v, but use the smaller 120v style gun which I love.

I have mig pac 180 its 240v and i love it i can do sheetmetal on the lowest setting or crank it and burn 1/2" steel (not a single pass) cant remember what it was rated for though. All with 0.35 wire.
