Also what did you set your pinion angle at in the front?
 
Hey John, do you have any closer pics of the front leafspring brackets? And did you ever end up adding any leafs to your explorer leaf pack?

the rear tabs are gonna be cut off to mount the "box sliders" like Jon ( Slo-Vo) has....

as for adding any leaves I have not....the pack has not sagged any yet after three wheeling trips....but if it does I will add as needed....

what Josh said, the storm that came through my area did a number on my roof....coulda been worse, but bad enough....

Also what did you set your pinion angle at in the front?

I just used the factory spring perches on the D60, and with the Ex leaves I think it works fine....

and in other news.....I have finally installed my Ex Sport guage cluster I have had sitting in the garage for the last year.....

as well as a D60 with disc brakes out of a Dodge....with 2 piston calipers and functional parking brakes:icon_thumby:

I didn't realize explorer sports had white gauges in them, do you know what all years had them?

Color me green! I need to get a parking break on my rig in the future, its getting old watching it slowly creep away whenever I park on a hill :icon_twisted:

I really missed not haveing it after the 31 spline 8.8 swap....glad it is back...

I got mine out of an early 2000's one...I believe they started putting them in Sports around the same time the Sport Tracs came out....

for now I still have my drop pitman arm from RC....but, I plan to put a F-150 arm on her for a little more clearance...

I pushed the axle centerline forward 4"....

the Hi-steer arm I got off Evilbay and has "Bonez" engraved into it....was only $52....

I have an F-150 arm I was going to use, but kept my stock one instead if you need it.
 
2wd 3rd gen rangers have a flat pitman arm. Not sure what the F150 has, but that's what I went with on the Ex. Kept the bolt from hitting the ram all the time.
 
Fords don't seem to have any rhyme or reason to what pitman arm they put on what. Just have to have an idea what you want, and peak under every ford ya come across in the junkyard.
 
Hey John, what did you end up using for drivelines? Stock ranger with conversion joints?
 
my 1 piece rear shaft I had to shorten about 2"...

as for the front shaft I had to lengthen it 2"....since I pushed the axle centerline forward 4"....

and yes I used the conversion joints front and rear....

when I install the doubler my plan is to make both the front and rear shafts identicle, so I just need 1 spare....
