disciplerocks's B2 build thread

Looked at the TSLs today. Good tread for the price, but the sidewall cut worries me. he said he had a tire place patch it and he is running a tube. Its a good 2" cut.

I'd be cautious with a cut sidewall. Would be ok as a spare though.

I wheel with a feller that has 1 sliced and patched tire and one that has a stick shoved thru it and patched. they were both stitched and hot patched VERY NICELY. i'm not 100% sure how it was done or who he had do it but he hasnt had an issue since they were done. He tends to be a bit hard on his rig since he's running a 4 banger and 33's he has a hard time keeping all the tire's churning being locked front and rear

We'll see. And they can't be worse than my bias claws.

My new FW 8.8 and hopefully everything I need to swap it to disc brakes.

You just going to use the gears in the current axle for the fw8.8?

wicked sweet!

what are you using to run discs?

Redrilled Explorer setup.

I did some research. Thought about running 97+ 8.8. They have discs, but they have a metric bolt pattern and require a minimum 16" rim. So I looked into the Explorer setup. The center hole on the rotor needs enlarged, or the hub on the shaft turned down. Then redrill the rotors and thats it, its bolt on from there and I can keep my 15" rims.
