when it comes to 4x4, I ain't the smartest cookie, but hooking that shock to the dif cover looks like a problem,...
Probably a hydro assit ram, and mounting them to the diff cover isn't unheard of. It seems like it would work the cover loose over time, but I've yet to hear anyone mention that happening.
why wouldn't you just mount it to the housing or the shock tube?
also, the second pic shows ford parts being used on the build
