Gt-12

i disagree, if you were to put your body on a fully modded mog chassis, it would be pretty freaking done...

It's still yours, even after completion. Hell, you built that, it's in your name, and you pay for it. It sounds to me like she's yours...

yup.
but i'm worried it could be like when you spend a bunch of time and money trying to woo that hot chick, then when you get her it turns out she's a high maintenance bitch that you have to keep pouring time and money into.
great to show off every now and then, but you still have to live with her the rest of the time, too:D

on that note, how about some dash fab.

i made a template, and test fitted all the goodies to it before cutting into metal

gt6001-99.jpg

marked out,you can see i've rendered all the inside curves to circular tangents.outside curves are easy to cut out and dress, inside curves are hard to get looking good,so i use a different trick.not here the bottom plate for the dash is already formed.

i cut them all out with holesaws, then i just have straight lines and some outside curves to cut out.

after welding it all together, there's still some detail work to do but it looks like a dash.

once again, when all the stuff is on it none of this will be seen.

Your metal fab skills make me sick....

You just need to leave all the aluminum polished/brushed. please don't cover up all this beautiful work.

Also I hate how you talk about building a piece like that as if it's swapping an intake onto a stock truck. :thefinger: Good Job. :icon_thumby:

thanks guys.
but one of my goals with this car is to have the interior look as close to stock as possible, under the circumstances.the aluminum is being used because it's nice to work with, and glimpses will be seen in the wheelwells, under the hood, and underneath.

the next one i'll keep all the aluminum out in the open.i'm thinking maybe an all aluminum monocoque frame,as well.

tank? is it a tank? it's a tank, isn't it? are you building a tank? how about a jackal, it's a jackal isn't it?

I don't think a tank is enough of a challenge. I'm still guessing an Issetta with a v8.

Yea, I'm not riding in that.

Watch him build an RBV that'll traverse land and water, like a few of those prototypes of the past (and I believe one Chevy model in the late 50's). But his will be able to carry his entire family!

Did yall ever watch that Monster Garage episode where they built a pontoon party boat out of a school bus?

There's not enough room for a person yet a v8. But I would like to see it done.

nah....i can't think of what i'd do with a tank to make it worth doing.while not everyone likes me,i don't think i have enemies that warrant such measures.

sorry martin...that's not really much of a challenge either.

what about an isetta with a v8, that LOOKS like it's stock? kinda like the gt-12 kinda still looks stockish... other than the massive amount of engine and carb sticking out the top of the hood
