My 91 Ranger the stRanger

I really don't see what's wrong with a bastard pack, just run the thicker Exploder main leaf.

The off road ride was fine but I wasn't pleased with the ride on the street for DD duties. Plus the ad a leafs are only going to last so long...

I called duff today and said F it and had them put on order. Should be here in a few days. There goes half my tax return; it's just money right?

Got the new springs and bushings from ups today. These seem pretty heavy duty. Also the springs say deaver on them, hopefully they work out pretty good.

The duff springs are pretty flexy, I would prefer them a bit less flexy for DD purposes but oh well. Just some shots from the orv park today. Not much left to do on the truck except get some flares and cut some fenders. I am getting deployed soon so hopefully once I get back sliders and a new front bumper will be next.

sweet. whats wrong with the bumper you have though?

I jacked up the passenger corner a few weeks ago, and I also want to make one with highlift points and a winch holder.

anything new happening here?

I'm deployed to Afghanistan for the next 6 months

be carefull man, thanks for the service.

Well I have been in this dusty sphincter called Afghanistan for almost 3 months now and just 3 more to go!

I have been planning things for the truck ever since I got here! I have all this extra tax free pay burning a hole in my pocket but nothing to spend it on...yet. My immediate plans for the ol' truck when I get back is first and foremost a good bit of TLC and an engine tune up. I am going cut the fenders and put on some pacer flexy flares like I should have a long time ago.
I am going to buy a Hobart 187 mig welder and a tube bender and make a new front winch bumper.
Over the winter a rear tank swap and doubler will hopefully take place. I am debating on a SAS as well but that will depend on when I get a new DD and leave this for a weekend wheeler. I can realy see this thing with a tube bed, doubler, d44 and 35s in the near future though!

I know this update is useless for most people, but for myself 9000 miles away it is a slight morale boost. Anyway I know these things are useless without pics so this all i have to offer from the sandbox:

Hey thanks for the support man it may not seem like much to say that, but over here busting your ass 14-15 hour days it means a lot. Here is just a taste of some of the suck:

On a good note I emailed duff about SAS parts and they emailed me right back and here is what they said:
We have everything needed to put a solid axle under your ranger.
5351 Extended Radius Arms
5261B Bolt on coil buckets
5107 or 5109 3.5" or 5.5" early bronco coils
5120 Lower coil retainers---must be redrilled in 3/4" to run a fullwidth axle
5410 trac bar mount
That will get the axle under the truck. We also have all the bushings
(7 degree recommended) and also the front caps if you don't have
those. For more info feel free to call in and speak to one of our
techs to get you going.
Thanks.

Guess who is going to be piecing together a SAS in a few months?
