Kyle M's Ranger Rebuild

Exactly what happened to me. Killed it going up a hill, no brakes, backward roll, and sideplant. Upgraded my master cylinder and added a check valve and they work great now:icon_thumby:

Kinda scary! When I switch my tons, I will address the brakes, what master did you use?

the work in the rock garden looks killer brother!

Wasn't too gracefull lol, I have video. Hope when I go to an auto I can be a little nicer on things lol

Awesome work! I was debating going this weekend or next. Ended up grilling out and in the pool all day. I've wadded myself up pretty good in that crack on a wet day down there. I'm only 5 minutes from Bundy Hill. Gonna be out there next Saturday morning. Send me a PM next time you come down.

Got one from an F250 with a rear discs. Used it as a core for a new one. Its pretty much a direct swap for B2s. Rangers use different size fittings.

I don't know how your shit holds together. If I even pointed my truck in that direction it would break half ton stuff. lol you can hear us taking bets on what hes gonna break, and yet the fawker never breaks anything lol.

:icon_rofl:

It was a game yesterday to see how close we could/couldn't get to rolling. We were watching another group ahead of us taking the "safe" lines. So we went against the grain :icon_hornsup:.

Kyle, will you send me the info on your front arms? After watching this thing flex, I am following your lead. Looks bad freakin ass.

(I know i could go back through and try to find it, but there is 111 pages... Fawk that)

You sure? i swapped a ranger master cylinder on my b2 a while back and it was all the same

From the ones I seen, Rangers use 2 1/2" fittings and B2s use a 1/2" and a 3/8". Might be different in various years, but the ones I looked at were all that way.

Doesn't your E-brake work ????

also in the one picture, there is a set of tires for your next rebuild, they should be big enough :)

Lol at you in the rock garden. Give her hell.

Josh.....

Got my radius arms extended and tacked together. If you look close, you can see the 1.5* of correction I built in. Hopfully with that and the 7* bushings I can tuck the heims up inside of the frame, more on that when I get to that....

later on...

Got my radius arms done and welded, started on the crossmember. Got the axle in position, got the caster (or camber, can't remeber with it is) at about 5*, think that should be good. The arms are pretty long, I wanted the crossmember to not hang down, and the only spot I had to make that work with my long arms is behind the tranny...o-well, see how it works, just worried about ground clearance. Got the crossmember all tacked up, still need to make provisions for the heims.

then I took it off and painted it and reinstalled it for good

And that is about it. They are about 50" to 52" from center of axle to center of heim IIRC, I will measure if you want me to

haha, guess I am kinda a point and shoot kinda guy lol

I need to start taking my time, but I think it is more that I am running the 5 speed and no doubler so I like to keep the motion up. Maybe when I have 40's and a auto I will slow down.....:D
