I'm thinking of getting some recentered H1s from Trailworthy Fab. Every time I look for newer tires all I can find is the 16.5s. I can get the double beadlocks for $175. Then I can source tires easier.

They have wheel/tire combos for $200 a corner. Are the military Goodyear OZ tires worth anything? A good go-round with a grooving iron might make them work? The only thing I don't like is they have no sidewall lugs. Here in TN, you need some side bite.

I know I've seen these on Jester's B2. Anyone else? Bobby W?

Their wheels are top notch for sure, look at their threads in the vendor section on pirate4x4 they have lots of info and feedback. or just give them a call Andy will answer all of your questions and then some.

they also just recently started doing 16.5 retreads called the guard dog which have a very similar tread pattern to the goodyear MTs, I think these look like decent tires

the stock 37s dont have the strongest sidewalls and wont crawl like a TSL, but for the price of a 37 tire you cant really go wrong. Hit them with a groover and I bet they would be pretty decent.

I know for a fact the MT/R style tread doesn't work around here. That's why I was asking about the OZ tire or even the older BFG tire. I've seen some other tread styles but can't find them for sale as cheap as the others. That's the main reason I was even asking to begin with....$75 bucks a tire....can't beat that.

Something like this.

Trailworthy fab and military tires.

I'm not sure if you saw this thread.

If you daily drive your truck or if it sees alot of pavement buy 'em and don't look back. But if it is a dedicated trail rig, save your money and buy a better tire.

They are a good all around tire, and the best part is the price. They do great in rocks and dirt, they clean out pretty good in the mud, I mean they're no boggers but they do significantly better then BFG T/A KO's, but they absolutely suck in the snow.

Yeah I saw that post. I done a little searching before I posted. I'm gonna get some Swampers or Pit Bulls because they are readily available. Everyone down south must run H1s or something cuz I look all the time and usually only find 16.5s for sale.

Unfortunately I don't get to drive my Ex daily. I wish I could cuz it gets better gas mileage than my jeep. I will also be going to a 40" tire in the near future
Just might pick up a set of the OZ tires just to have around. There is a guy right across the state line that sells em for $250 a set. Order wheels from TWF and source tires locally.

They are common on older pickups, I think we have a couple complete sets of rims floating around from trucks that we converted to 16's. Tire selection is night and day between the two, which is why we converted them.
