ranger refit/build thread

So Gwaii, its now April.... About time to knock the dust off this ol Pig and get it back out there aint it??

on the first t-case,the rear output was left on.both cases are twin-sticked,so the front and rear outputs can be controlled independently.when in 2wd,the second case has what used to be the front output-now the rear, engaged and the other in neutral.the first case the rear output just stays in neutral all the time.

so if you wanted. you could have a rwd truck. Then one day say "Ok I feel like fwd" then have it in fwd, then go to 4x4? Insane.

im almost positive you can do that with any twin stick transfercase. he can just do it with 194 different gear choices

you can't put it in fwd-h on a twin stick...

i dunno i just thought that was the whole point of a twin stick so you could go and do front digs which would be front wheel drive.

hi or low range, front drive no problem.

that's right....and if you took the interlocks out(like i did ) you can also run the front in high and the rear in low(or vice-versa)should you so desire.

that's the beauty of a twin sticked 205-the front and rear outputs are completely independantly controlled.plus,it's strong enough to run all your power through just the front output, unlike most chain driven cases.
