True enough! I'm a little out date I guess but the concept is still there none the less

three transmissions.
Gwaii I spent the day wheeling in this truck's ultimate playground. We started of the day in snow, hit some hard pack dirt, some forest, some deep bog mud/muck, all in the shadow of a huge rock crawl area. I wish I had you truck and not mine, however the old 2WD did alright for itself.
ok, so after reading through this beast of a thread two timeI wanted to ask to be sure, is the first t-case is flipped with no shaft coming out for 4wd? (did you leave a stub in there or did u make a block off plate for the old axle seal?
Also, could you go into more detail with the machine press and weld of the driveshaft to input for the transmissions? I am working on a similar project (though not a doubler underneath just a single in the bed to a single underneath with 2 transfer cases) and wanted to see what additional light you could shed on that topic for me (I was gunna do the short way of taking the clutch input and welding that )
One last thing.. lol. I read earlier that you said that the truck is RWD until you go into 4x4, but since the FRONT shaft drives the double tranny, and the front most 205 is flipped, wouldn't it be a FWD truck until you put the second 205 into 4x4?
I'm sure you could find a way to make the Warthog from HALO work in real life given enough time Tom![]()
i love places like that.it's a good variety, plus it's entertaining watching others try to follow you.
hey, that's what keeps it interestingWe looked like the most ragtag group when we finally made it through. Had an XJ with a busted door, a TTB V8 bronco towing a stockish BII(he broke down about halfway around the trail - the bronco was towing him for 3 hours), and my little 2wd open diff desert ranger trying to keep up...
I think the craziest part of the whole thing was just giving the broken BII a push down the hill back to the highway - his motor ran so he had full brakes and steering, but with no clutch he was trying to keep as much speed as possible - had to be pretty nuts
Gwaii what is that in the background?
score one for organicI'm guessing a lifted amc eagle?
i used to have one of those critters
it was ugly fun![]()
