so on a '85 2.8L all the air pump and emissions stuff that takes up the passenger side under the hood. is it really needed if there are no emissions where i live let alone only driven offroad basically? seems like a lot of wasted space and parts sitting there just for emissions i dont need. so what can go an what needs to stay? gain anything from removing it ?

If you don't have a non feedback carb and duraspark ignition it won't run worth a darn.
