I'm surprised nobody here is in to plastic model kits.

My generation, kids made plastic model kits. I guess the newer generations play video games.

I love making the plastic models. I have a 50s ford truck sitting in my truck waiting to be put together.

I used to build model carts, boats, and planes when I was younger. Then moved into diorama like figures/vehicles/weapons. Later I got more serious about my motorcycles so now I build and restore those.

I still build them... hard to have time for them, but still fun. Want to buy a ranger model off ebay and do it like my truck sometime.

I've put my fair share of them together and as pillen140 said it's hard to make time for them. It would be great to get back into it. They are fun to put together and rewarding once you get them done.

Way back when the earth first started to cool, I built plastic model cars, then back in 2000, I started building R/C planes, boats and ships, I have been trying to get out of that, but every one in my old R/C club keeps asking me to build and cover their planes for them.

I find that if it is a good, well thought out kit, and well cut, it is very calming to build, but if it is a lousy jap kit, then it's a pain in the but and gives me a headache.

I haven't built anything for several years, but here's a couple pics, of my toy room. I got into collecting Hot Wheels cars. I've just started customizing them.

The main reason I gave up building model cars, is one day I walked into a local hobby store, and when I seen just how detailed people where building them, I just gave it up, I mean there was no way i could ever build one that had real looking rotors and lugs on the front, and with rims that the lug holes where drilled out.
