Brief Biography:
I’m a lifetime Ford fan/ mechanic. I’ve been a Ford dealer tech, a Ford fleet tech, a Ford government fleet supervisor in charge of 1700 pieces of equipment.
How long have you been a member of The Ranger Station?
I first signed in here back in 2000 when I was building my 89 Ranger STX under a different screen name. Registered as ‘Snoranger’ since 2007.
How did you first get into Ford Rangers or off-roading?
My father, grandfather, and uncle all worked at the Edison assembly plant building rangers. I went on a tour of the plant and saw a bunch of shiny new STXs roll off the assembly line. That was the day I decided I want a Ranger.
Any certifications, qualifications, or education worth noting?
I took second place in the state finals of the Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills Contest in 1995, won a full scholarship to the Ford ASSET training program, as a Ford government fleet we get new Ford training every year (dealer level training).
What specific areas of expertise or interest do you bring to TRS?
I’ve studied basic electronics courses, basic mechanical engineering courses, advanced welding courses, WreckMaster level 4 recovery, advanced suspension design.
What kind of Ranger(s) (or Bronco II, Explorer, etc.) do you currently own or have owned in the past?
Past Vehicles:
- 1989 Ranger STX on 6” lift and 35” tires
- 1994 Explorer limited on 6” custom lift and 35” tires.

Favorite Ford vehicle ever?
My 89 STX on 35’s. Maybe it was the truck, maybe it was the carefree teenage years… maybe it was a little of both.
Favorite mod or upgrade you’ve ever done?
Fox 2.5” remote reservoir double adjustable shocks and struts on my 23 Tremor.
Most memorable off-road trip or experience?
2024 Vagabond Adventure and hoping that 2025’s trip with my daughter will be even better.
One piece of advice you’d give to a new Ranger owner:
If you don’t know, ask. There’s someone on here that has done it already and can give you guidance.
