zf trans ?'s

Just ask for a fullsize for t-case gasket...the pattern hasn't changed on the fullsizes ever.

As far as the ZF I have seen a few blow 2nd gear from abuse...anything can break if you try. A ranger is light enough it will hold up really well. The last time I broke anything on my truck the factory bump stop block cracked, I bent the leaf springs and snapped the driveshaft...that came from dumping the clutch in 2nd.

and the zf has the option of using a pto. either a winch or hydraulic attachments ect.

about 1year ago, had to pull one out of my buddies f350 that the rear end locked up on the highway and the force from that cracked the bell housing all the way around. First tranny that i've removed that the bellhouing bolts didn't need to be unfastened. as you can imagine the whole case was junk but all the gears ect were good so my buddy sold just the gear set to a trans shop for 300$. i was supprised that they even bought it.

am i going to be able to bolt the factory driveshaft up, or am i gonna have to change yokes to be able to hook up to the np205 was told they have 1310 u joint cups?

100% positive your stock driveshaft won't fit. Most NP205s use a 1310 series yoke. You will have to have a shaft made in the correct legnth....I had the ability to make my own. A driveline shop shouldn't charge more than 250 for a new shaft from end to end.

I got the zf installed today behind the 302, but i noticed there is an inspection hole in the bottom of the bellhousing and called the dealer to see if i could get a plug for it and they said its no longer available so how do i go about getting one, they still sell rebuilt zf transmissions so someone has to make the plugs still..........

dude i want to come see your truck lol. what are you doing b4 3 tomorrow? i would think you could get one of those covers from lmc maybe or someplace like that

have a question i put a new 88 f250 slave cylinder in the zf, and bought a new ranger clutch line and master cylinder and when i hooked them up today the line wont seal in the slave it pushes in and locks in but it just pours out fluid when i pump the pedal do i need to use o ring that came with the slave cylinder i looked at it but it looked to be the same size..........???????????????
