Welcome Visitor! Please take a few seconds and A shop would be better, you HAVE to install a new receiver/drier REGARDLESS, anytime system runs dry(leaks) or parts are taken off and replaced
AC systems cool below the freezing point of water, 32degF, so ANY moisture inside the system would freeze and BLOCK the flow of refrigerant
The DRIER absorbs any moisture to prevent this from happening, once its exposed to air it will start to absorb the moisture in that air and be ruined in a few days, at 0psi pressure inside(leak) air can get in, so done deal on replacing that part
But they are not too expensive, $35-$55 depending on extra parts they come with
A shop can vacuum test the system to see if that's the ONLY leak, there could be more
