Here is my (actually my wife's) 1989 Ranger Long Bed. 2.9 5 speed (which she has owned since day one and never been crashed). Not long ago I had a thread here on my overheating problem (so I thought, turned out to be the sensor and gauge) and this forum steered me in the right direction to get an Explorer HD radiator. It dropped right in, all I had to do was tweak the upper and lower hose a little and it was home. At the same time I put World heads on and Pacesetter headers along with a new thermostat and sensor. I have also replace all of the lights and lens. Since then I have used several tanks of gas and the mpg's are going up and the power seems to be coming back ( I had the battery disconnected on and off a bunch of times changing things). We had the seats reupholstered.
Does anybody know where to get NEW arm rests for this year Ranger. As you know this about the only way to close the door on this year model
P.S. I'm still loosing a little bit of water. I think it might be the heater core. I'm going to replace it because it's the only thing left. If not ….I'll be back with more questions.
