Is this the one in Ohio? I always wanted to stop there. We go past it on the way to the girlfriend's parent's place
yup....i needed some special tools...they close at 8 now...used to be able to pick shit up anytime back in the day.

I'll have a number 5 please...and could you make that to go?

I kicked myself so hard a month after the 20th anniversary when I realized I drove thru Akron, the home of Summit.

Totally didn't think about it at the time. :bawling:

that is definitely unlike you......i assumed that was the first place you went :woot:

i was at jegs before that because it was closer...but they had the wrong insert....so i had to haul ass to get over there.....but got it. finishing the harness now gawking at you gorillas.....

modern challengers are cows. basically a benz platform. but i do love them dearly     1000 plus rwhp is radical...and scary. those cars are uncomfortable to drive at that power level... while i do admire and respect the gen 3 hemi i do not care to work on it as opposed to a 340. same with the ford cammers.

real vipers (pre traction control)....are frightening. stock if your a decent driver they are not horrible but will whip your ass out at say a place like michigan international....or the airport at grosse isle....young bobs thing that identifies as a ranger (350 Z with a V8 swap) is like that......SIMPLY FAWGIN BRUTAL.

.but... if you dont drive high power vehicles you are foooked.....a mere 400 hp viper is a death trap.....if you are used to driving vettes.....you need some seat time in the viper before you push it.....vettes are way easier to drive.

especially twin turbo vipers without upgraded suspension.

in that regard the ctsv stock is not scary. i have had a 70 Cuda' and a 73 challenger. my cuda' for the time was a monster. but nothing compared to the ctsv i would rather be seen in a cuda' but the ctsV just drives awesome.

but dont lose sight of this..because i should have made this the point...

...Neil had over 140k into that ctsV before he was done playing with it including purchase price...i did an equalized value of about 15-20 grand in labor over that time period for the things i helped with.....that is in 2010-2015 dollars so....looking at it like that ...it makes this new one reasonable.

more importantly...if you like the old chevelles and pontiacs and fords...that are all dolled up with coyote and modern hemi and LS engines and modern suspension.....paying 100k for one of those is a bargain too.

problem is...paying 100k for a real Cuda'.... i would not want to drive it.

moreso....if you gifted me a real Cuda'..... i would still not want to drive it.

but i would whoop the fawk out of a ctsV and not feel bad about it.....and could care less for parking lot rash..... it would look like my ranger in no time.

yeah.....i am an idiot like that.

'
Ive never driven any of the real nasty challengers (athough id love to)...the hottest i drove was an older SRT8.

They were fast and a blast to drive but i was slightly disappointed they didnt feel more...primitive.

The vettes i drove were older....one was a 93? (i think, it was that style) and then a 67 a buddy had. The 67 was way more fun. The 93....i dont know i dont see the hype behind vettes (no offense to any vette guys around).

Felt the same way about the 07 and 15 i rode in.

The viper? I think it was a 95....that thing was brutal. Unfourtantly i only got to drive it on the street (as with the others) but it was easy to see exactly what youre saying. They could get someone who cant drive in trouble....fast. But damn it was fun...if i ever decide to blow a bunch of money i wouldnt mind having an older one.

I still think though in bang for your buck fun...a foxbody 302 with a manual is the pinnancle. Maybe im to easy to please lol.
