Decided to put a York compressor on the ranger for the train horns and what ever air might be needed for :thefinger:.

Went out to pull a part and picked up a York long stroke compressor out of an 84 volvo for $30. What a pita it was to get it out of that volvo sh1t box.

Both bolts for the suction side port were snapped off so I am drilling them out oversized and retapping the hole for 3/8-24 threads.

It was very interesting figuring out a way to clamp the compressor down to my drill press table.

Will have some more pics up of it soon.

what is it?

Its a former A/C compressor converted into an air compressor that will blow any viair or crappy electric compressor out of the water....

Drilling out hole on suction side to fit 3/8" bolt on valve plate and cover.
