First off,
My power steering started to squeal when I backed into my parking spot yesterday. Notice the fluid is way down. Topped it off,but now I'm getting a puddle under the front left of the vehicle. I seem to be having a hard time locating the leak. It's not spraying and everything looks wet around the box/pump. Steady drip.
Any pointers would be great.

Then yesterday on my way to work my (ABS) and brake light came on. Petal got spongy and almost to the floor.
Pulled the spare tire and noticed the long line from the front along the frame shooting a stream toward the gas tank. I changed that line 12 years ago,but the salt and sand did it in fast.
Any tips on getting that one replaced would be great.

Thanks in advance.

As for the steering box leaking, wipe everything dry and go from there. Mine very slowly leaks out the top of one of the screw in fittings for the lines. If not that then the lower seal could have gone out.

Thanks.
I'll do that.
Also noticed that the best place to view the box is through the wheel well.

Sometimes by spraying a foot powder in the area of a leak will help. What it will do is turn the area white and when the leak occurs it will be easier to pinpoint with a white background rather then the black oil coated area.

Good tip.
It's going to be hard to clean between the lines.
Am I correct in assuming that if it was the pressure line the fluid would spray out instead of drip?

probably return line at least that is where mine leaks:bawling:

edit: sorry forgot what i was really going to say take it to car wash with some de-greaser of some kind (i'm told oven cleaner works but i have not tried it myself) and clean affected area.

Thanks,they both look pretty corroded.
But you might be right about the return line.
I'll take and give it a good cleaning to see where it's coming from.
