I also am new to the forum. Years ago I owned an 86 Ranger it was a regular cab 2.3l with 4 wheel drive. I liked the truck a lot but got rid of it when the transmission went out (it had a slow leak). My wife and I had an older car that saved us a lot of money I kept telling her that when that car died I was going to get another Ranger. The day finally came the motor on the old car lost the cam seal which wouldn’t be a catastrophic problem for me but it happened to my father in law. After ALL of the oil was pumped out he kept going... Anyway I got that ranger it’s a 95 extra cab 3.0 with 4x4 manual transmission . I got the truck for $1535 I drive a hard bargain but the poor guy that sold it didn’t seem to know what he had. I’ve put new upper and lower ball joints on it new inner and outer tie rod, new bearing on the front, I had to change the light bulbs on the dash, I replaced the u joints on the front axial. The truck has 259,000 on it. I still need to replace the transmission fluid, leaf sprig in the back, exhaust manifold on the left side, and do some more rust mitigation. I live in a gravel pit so my truck is an on road and off road truck I love to take the truck climbing there are many thing to climb on. Right now I am working on installing a tripmider that I saw in the forum section. http://www.therangerstation.com/Magazine/winter2009/tripminder.htm If anyone knows if that mod can be done on an eec-v computer i would be glad to hear from you. I have the VSS sensor pinned down but fuel flow I am not so sure about.
Anyone know how to insert a picture?

Use www.tinypic.com to store your images, but you can also use Picshare, Photobucket, etc. When you upload them, it will give you a link to use in forums and stuff, put that link (usually ending in www.website.com/#####.jpg) in the
.

Welcome to TRS!

The truck is as far as I can tell completely stock. I plan on putting some AT tires on it in the fall. When I did the front axial I went looking through the junkyard looking for a limited slip differential to put on the front while I had it off (that dang clip didn't go back on) but came up with nothing. My buddy found an SXT in his junkyard with front and rear limited slip he got lucky. I did grab a limited slip dif out of an arowstar van that I think will fit in the rear but there are so many projects around the house ya know. my plan for the truck really is to drive it back and forth to work and play with it in the back yard being careful to not break anything. I also will be hauling wood with it for the wood stove, I just remembered that, ya know now that I thinking about it I need some wood chips to. Like I said lots of projects
