Yeah! I'm Starting a New (Temp) Job this morning!

Well I've got a job for at least the next month.

I'll be working through a temp agency in a warehouse doing book returns for a printer for the next month. The pay's decent for a temp gig, but the down side is that it's a 45 minute drive each way.

It's better than nothing & I'm grateful for the work.

Besides, the agency said the last time they had somebody go down there, they were hired perminatly after 6 months!

Well the commute's a PITA (90 miles round trip) but the job went well today. It's just sorting book returns from across the country. My feet are killing me right about now as I just got home.

Now I just need to find a new place to live & I'll be golden.

I know all about the commute being a PITA, for my full time job at Tyson foods in Sherman. The commute from Elwood to Sherman takes me one hour to get there. It's a 100 miles round trip, 50 there and 50 back, so roughly 500 to 600 miles a week on my 6 year old truck which already has over 217,000 miles on it. Thats for 7am to 4pm full time job that pays $10.80 an hour.

It's really sad that wages have been STAGNENT for close to 30 years while the cost of everything else is going up like crazy!

The only place wages ARE going up is for those at the top. Like they need any more money. I'd love to make one tenth of what a congressman in DC make right about now and have half their benefits!
