WTF is wrong with my truck...help!!!

Well long story short, replaced the 4.0l motor in my 06 ranger and now it runs like crap. I believe it is an electrical problem. When i cold start the truck it idles smooth but when i try to rev it, the rpms drop then build back up very irradictally. Then once the truck is warmed up the idle becomes irradict to the point where it stalls. I have ruled out tps! Could it be the maf or the coilpack? There are no check engine lights. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks guys!

also, the MAF did get very wet and muddy before i replaced the motor, if that helps!!

First things first, don't just start throwing new parts at it, it can get very expensive in a hurry. Don't know if this still works on the obd2 trucks, but for diagnotic purposes, disconnect the maf and start the truck. It will set a code or two but if the truck runs reasonably well (drivable) the the maf is part, if not all of the problem.
