ok so trans shop says hey ur tcc is locking up. i say ok, they told me they cut the ground from the pcm and found ground was coming from the pcm. so the pcm was sending the ground to the tcc solenoid. they said it will be fine to drive now and my symptoms were gone. i just had to hook a toggle or get another pcm.

well as soon as i hit the gas to leave i noticed my problems were still present.

takes off under heavy throttle slowly like im towing another car. and for some reason will feel like a shift and have a little more power. when im cruising and want to pass. it kick down a gear but the rpms are extremely slow. and then there is no power.

obviously theres a problem im not seeing and neither are they. so anybody with a thought on what to look at or do. please write. thx

Nice 30 views and no replies.

Well now its slipping. I give it gas and watch rpms go up and no forward action.

Screwed I think I am.

31 views and nobody that knows trans ..... I don't think that's bad, unfortunate maybe.
Sorry about your luck,

Richard

Ps I don't mean to sound uncaring.

If the transmission was/is stuck in a in a higher gear the clutches would have to slip a lot more to get the truck moving. Like taking off with a 5 speed in 3rd. Sounds like there may be other issues.

I viewed it. I didn't feel like I got enough info from the blurb that comes up when I hover over the link, read it, and realized I'm clueless to aiding you and your issue.

I only drive manuals, Of my family's entire fleet, there is only one automatic, my brothers in another state. I've never worked on one or dealt with issues on one, never even changed the oil and filter on them.

Manual trans swap?

No clue, but a few guesses. First get a second opinion. Dunno if your trans has one. But it sounds like "limp mode" that some ATs do have. Good luck :D

Take it to a "good " transmission shop and 'tell" them to fix it, problem solved.
I've found,
It's hard to do mechanic work on the internet no matter how good the mechanic is.
