I am putting a 2.9 together and turned the engine over and this fell out. I have no clue where it came from or what it is. Need to know what it is. Trying to get this engine put back in tomorrow. It is about 10" long and the ends are exactly the same

don't have a clue.....but if i wanted to mess with your mind....i'd slip one of those into the engine when you wasn't lookin

it's looking like the oil pump shaft....but the retainer that holds it in the engine is missing....maybe....

Around my parts that's what we call the foo foo rod. It connects the magnetic infindibulator to the whosiwhatsit.
