im talkin about the fusible link on the piece of wood. not sure where it goes, was just laying there when i bought the truck.

Trace your positive battery cable back to where it attaches to the relay, you will find wires similar to the one pictured, underneath one of the nuts there. Remove the nut and add this wire to it

That doesn't look like a fusible link to me. More like just a couple of wires coming together into a common ring terminal.
