wtf? a4ld problems

92 ranger 2.9 a4ld 4x4, 86k

when i shift my truck from park to reverse (or any other gear, for that matter) i dont have to press the brake pedal. isnt there supposed to be some safety switch? or is my tranny gonna grenade one of these days?

the older trucks don't have the brake inter-lock switch. that came from lawsuits where people were actualy to stupid to have a license and just threw their vehicle into gear with out using the brakes and got into accidents.

My 94 Explorer doesn't have the safety switch either. I shift without using the brake all the time. Nothing scary happens, in fact I kinda wish my other vehicles didn't have it, it can get a little annoying at times.
