Hey yall,

Just wanted to share since all i do is read other peoples stuff on TRS.

I have been meaning to clean up the inside of my 01 ranger Cab for some time now.
Found a great steering wheel from an 06 ranger and some fresher looking seats from a 03 or 04 FX4 ranger at my local wrench a part. (id have to go back and check what year for the seats.)

I shampooed the seats and painted them with the fabric paint. Came out pretty good. Masking two-tone seats kind of sucked but all good in the end.

Used my seat belts and buckles. I had to bore out the holes where the buckle attaches to the new seats a hair to get them to fit. They are from different years.
This is a temp fit until I can pull some exact belts. I feel they are safe but I wouldn't pass the vehicle on like this.

I didn't get a pic of the after paint of the seats, was trying to beat the rain to get them in, but I got one of the trim pieces. All in all it looks great.
I really dig the newer steering wheel.

This project gave me the chance to detail the whole cab, which was covered in west texas dust.
Total cost was $175 and a good bunch of hours with a toothbrush.

The week after I got it all done, the slave cylinder went out. So i pulled the tranny out of the vehicle. I have convinced the wife that a 5.0 swap is in order. Im picking up a 2000 mounty with 113k and a blown tranny tomorrow.
Looking for my m5odr2 with 4wd now!

That sure looks better then where you started.

Welcome to TRS...

I was never a fan of the original seats. I think you made a great choice in replacement.
