and thought it looked farmiliar
well, it was a boardwalk scene, on a peir amusement park
and all of a sudden it goes to a view of him, singing, in front of the moreys reir sign in wildwood,nj
holey crap, i love that place, shit, i grew up in that place

anyone else ever seen a place they love on tv, music video, movie?

also, on antiques roadshow, they show an antique shop sign, that was a block away growing up

so, anyone see anything like this?

My high school sat in for the non-existent West Beverly Hills High (90210), as well as several "B" movies. The Lost Boys has a number of very familiar sights around Santa Cruz (ahem -- Santa Carla). Sam Spade hung out in San Francisco. Clark Kent (the real one -- George Reeves) hung out at LA City Hall. Dustin Hoffman visited a number of familiar sites in The Graduate (including a notorious scene where he drives the WRONG WAY on the upper deck of the Bay Bridge).

And so on.

The movie 'The Guardian' was partly filmed on the Coast Guard base in Kodiak, Ak. I used to drive by there almost everyday, and one of the shots was from somewhere near the road. It was weird, like my memory on the TV.

You guys must be watching too much of the Soprano's re-runs. South Jersey is in NO WAY anything like what is represented on TV. North Jersey (among a few other parts) is a giant dumpster. Although I'm not completely ruling out the haircut thing.

there have been plenty of films made in Toronto Ontario...but they use locations that look like Anytown USA...I've yet to recognize any landmarks in movies filmed in TO and I lived there a long, long time in many different areas...I was even downtown while they were filming on flick and watched the movie to see if I could recognize the scenes...they cleverly disguised everything from the street names to some of the store names...

cutting thru the woods(side roads)one day,i passed brown field and saw plane wreckage thinking it was real.fire engine(vintage)choppers hovering,rubber neckers,etc..called home to see if it was on the news,tuned in local news,nothing,nada.

they were filming "we are marshall"i found out later.vintage fire truck should have tipped me off.looked pretty real at the time.

went to CA when i was 13 n went to palmdale raceway while i was out there, saw it on a tv show a couple years go,

never seen any of the episodes but when i went to the Keys with my girlfriend to her grandmothers, we were out drivin around and we drove by the house that was used for The Real World: Key West, and her gram bought the kayaks they used on that show for us, so that was pretty cool
