okay i got it all tore apart-thats after almost a full can of PB blaster on nuts and bolts and getting out the mapp torch to heat things up and blaster to cool it all down- 1/2" breaker bar and pipe extension to break bolts free(the bolts that held the hub assembly were rusted in place) all the bolts holding flanges guards, brake calipers, vacuum lines... EVERYTHING electrolytically seized!
it took 3 1/2 hours to break the hub bolts loose and ease them out without snapping them off!
so now i have the hubs off after getting the nylon snap ring off the spline and the steel retainer spring(which i bent).... here is the question

the bearing hub assemblies that i bought do not come with the TWO O-RINGS that seal the hub to the steering knuckle and seal the vacuum hubs

********* WHERE CAN I BUY THE O-RINGS FROM ????????????********

i need to get my ranger running ASAP hope to get the hubs back on tomorrow
autozone does not have a part number-will ford have them? how about napa?
thanks people-this is in west michigan btw- Thanks Spud

Ford will have them. My local dealer seems to have all the finicky little parts I need.

Napa says no!

ford has them at $6.00 a piece -robbery!

plumbing supply store??????????????????????

went to a cool place here in Holland that stocks an assortment of O-Rings- i think the were two dollars a piece-no i had to go to Ford for new nylon snap ring-$20.00 a piece(rape) Ford also wanted 4.00 a bolt 15mmX 1 1/2 special order (i dont trust the ones i fought to get out after i heated them up good with Mapp gas-so now i have new bolts with lock washers $1.40 a piece got some special lithium grease made by Lubriplate #1552 says good past 500+ degrees for the wheel bearings-bolting it all back together tonight and bleeding brakes-hope all goes well
