Work In Progress

If I can get all of it in one shot I'm gonna try too. And I'll do most of it in 1/8" and the winch mount in 1/4" plus my coils are so stiff anyways I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't even pull the front end down.lol

I know what you mean. My coils on my first ranger had no flex at all

I feel like I have a redneck low rider when I hit speedbumps and the front end feels like it came off the ground. I might look into some jeep coils and see how they do.

Well got an update, but not a good one. Was going to work and the driveline decided to take a vacation so I gotta get one of those.

Yeah I had a problem with my driveline before. I decided to shift from first to second and snapped my U-joint. That was a fun road side repair. Jeep coils should be good, that's what I've heard at least.

I got lucky and all it did was snap the bolts off. I'm thinkin replace the ujoints and get some new bolts and ill be golden for now.

Just look to see if you have a lot of rotational slop in the driveline when you get the bolts in. If not, then your U-joints should be fine.

I got around to checkin it and there's no play in it, so I assume that it wasn't ujoints. On another note all of a sudden it gets hot if it's not idling then it warms up. I'm thinking the thermostat is stuck closed, or the radiator is about to kick the bucket. Any suggestions?

It didnt used to run warm, it ran half way on the gauge. Now it runs at least 3/4 (at idle)and water kinda goes somewhere. And I'd I go too far you can hear it almost like bubbling over, when I shut it off. I'm just tryin to find out exactly what's causing this. With it being the only source of transportation and me being out of work, I don't really have much money to throw at it.

Well I did have this problem with my 1st 2.9 (I've gone through 2 of them) and I never figured it out, just blew em up. There could be a small crack in your head gasket and water is getting inside your cylinders and vaporizing. That's what my uncle told me happened to mine. There could just be a hose leak somewhere. Your heater core could be leaking. When you have any type of air conditioning/heat on can you smell antifreeze? The bubbling is from it getting hot. Are you running just water or 50/50 mix?

It smells like hit asphalt, it used to be a 50/50 mix but with how much water I've been adding its probably all water by now.
And to top it off the starter went out again. Went to leave the gas station and all I heard was that awful grinding noise. So now I'm immobile again. I'm tired of this thing breaking down.

I feel ya bro. I'm guessing your water is getting into your block and burning up. Could be a cracked water jacket or a small crack in your head gasket.
