Work In Progress

It might be the intake manifold gasket. I seized a 2.9 cuz of no water due to the intake leaking coolant into the 3,4 cylinders.
I knew it was leaking, replaced the gasket and it started doing it again. The intake had channels from corrosion leading from the water ports to the intake ports on the heads.
If your radiator isn't pressurized I wouldn't think it's the head gasket.

I feel ya bro. I'm guessing your water is getting into your block and burning up. Could be a cracked water jacket or a small crack in your head gasket.
I hope it's not that but with my luck, who knows. It may be time for a motor swap.

When money permits I might just try and put new gaskets on everything and run it till I get enough saved for a different motor. The cooling system pressurizes so it may be the head gasket?

Yeah that's one of the big indicators for a head gasket leak. You find any "snot" on your dip stick or oil fill cap?

What will happen is as the motor sets that radiator is pressurized and will force water back into the crack and in to the cylinder where it will seep passed the rings into the oil pan. Then it mixes with the oil creating the snot.

I haven't looked honestly. Ill pop the hood and check tomorrow morning.

So I got the truck runnin and replaced the cable connectors and now it's runnin like crap now and the wife said she saw white smoke comin outta the exhaust. The motor has an oil leak but I don't think it would be comin out of the exhaust? I don't know what's goin on with it I am getting to the point that I will just run it till it comes apart.

Smoke in the exhaust usually means blown head gasket. I drove up a mountain with smoke coming out everywhere, still out wheeled some yota's :headbang:

I went to start it up this morning and it started spittin water out of the exhaust, and by the monifold, the oil looked like peanut butter. So gotta tear it apart and see how many arms and legs I'm cuttin off. Here's the pics:

Yeah me too I might get lucky and it just be the head gasket. If not then I guess I'll rebuild it.

Try running a compression check first! It may be a intake manifold leak. I had the same thing happen and it was the manifold gasket.

If I get a gasket set wouldn't I get the intake gasket too? So I could just replace it then and see if it is blown. Either way I'm thinkin the motor is gonna have to be torn down because of the way the oil looked.

That's not good. Water got into your oil. Do a gasket swap, including the manifold gasket that Fitzgerald was talking about, and change your oil. Then try and start it up.

If I'm gonna be doin gaskets shouldn't I check the heads while I'm at it?
