Confused and Intolerant
I have taken 2 years of Woodshop in high school, and used Planer's, Sanders, Powertools, Handtools, Tablesaws, etc.

I was going to create a wooden trim to replace the fake wood trim in my Ranger. Does anyone want me to make some trim for their Ranger?

I would charge wood price, labor, and shipping.

Wood Price: Varys, can change every day, and depends on the wood desired.

Labor: Depends on what you want, and when you want it. (For example, Next-Day stuff WILL NOT be cheap; One-Week stuff will be based on my schedule; and Whenever-I-Get-To-It, which will be maybe a few weeks, would be fairly cheap).

Shipping: It would all be sent from 16901 Wellsboro, Pennsylvania.

I could literally do any wood, I know the shop teacher fairly well, he told me last year, if I was free, I was able to work in the shop.

So would anyone be interested? Not looking for commitments, but this was an idea to make a little extra income on top of the fact I like wood working.

(Lets say the average charge, minus shipping, would be around $20 for a NICE trim set on expensive wood).

i might be a lil interested... i'd kinda want to see what it'd look like.. you gonna stain and poly the wood or just leave it raw?

Up to the person that wants it, but for me, I want a Cherry or Poplar, and I want to stain it and leave it natural, looks nicer that way, will put a heavy coat over it to make it more smooth though.

3 or 4 clear coats should seal it, and I would make mounting holes to screw it into the dash, so removal is easy, but if I make it thick enough, might counter-bore it and add plugs to remove the screws from sight.

i wouldn't want it too thick, don't want to have to get new screws or w/e.... so as close as you could get it to stock thickness would prob be better for me.

but if you wouldn't mind, i'd like to see someone else's before i go forth with it.

Well, I want to do mine first, get used to the design, so I will be talking to Mr. West first day of school about using his shop, otherwise, I am going to have to get a Bansaw. =P

I think the stock size is only 1/6" to maybe 1/4" thick. Somewhere in there.

Can someone send me their extra/trashed dash wood trim for a reference? I dont wanna tear mine out yet.
