Hey just thought I would post my flat deck project I have been working on this weekend. Its almost complete just need to find some lights and attach the deck to the frame. If you have any questions or input please let me know.
Materials:
-2 x 4x4x8 pressure treated
-4 x 2x4x8 pressure treated
-6 x 2x10x8 pressure treated
-1 x 2x8x8 pressure treated
-2 10inch carriage bolts
-4 8inch carriage bolts
-56 3-1/2 inch lag bolts
-nuts,bolts,washers

I think that will work good. I would have run shorter 2 1/2" or 2 3/4" lag bolts from underneath so nothing would show, but that is nit picking. Your frame sure is rusty, I thought mine was bad. You may want to use grade 8 ready rod to tie the deck, 4x4's, and frame together rather than the bolt system you are using, with the amount of rust you may pull the bolt through. To clarify, I mean use two ready rods running down on either side of the frame, with a 3/8" x 1 1/2" x ~6" strap under the frame, and bolted together. You can get grade 8 ready rod, it's just hard to find [and it's fine thread].
Looking forward to seeing the finished product,

Richard

Yeah the frame is terrible, worst ive owned yet. gotta love the salty streets of Nova Scotia. But thanks for the input I didnt really realize I should reinforce the 4x4s to the frame till you mentioned it.(makes sense lol) I will definitely do that. as for the long leg bolts ill just grind em down cause they do look terrible sticking out ahah.

You should coat all the wood in a wood preserver, it being pressure treat wont last long if you have salty roads. Then a good sealer on top of that
