I have a 1999 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 3.0EFI with a new battery and a new alternator. When I turn the key over to try and start it, there is one single click. Then I turn the key back and try and start it again. There is absolutely nothing.. no noise at all. 🤬

Welcome to TRS.

A couple of things:
Starter relay on the fender well.
Starter solenoid on the starter motor
Poor or corroded wiring to and from the battery to the starter solenoid/starer relay.

There are a lot of posts on the forum in general and in the TECH Section on this subject.
It is not a difficult task to undertake. It's a rather common problem.

I would start with the wiring and make sure you have good solid connections. Make sure your battery is up to snuff - around 12.60V at the posts. Then go from there to the relay and then underneath to the starter solenoid.

Please let us know what you find and how it works out. Others may respond with more detailed info.

Re-reading your post...,more obvious issues
Check the connections of the recently replaced alternator. use a voltmeter to check the output...AND double check your battery connections.
