Hello,
I need some advice on adjusting the Manual shifter on my transfer case, it clicks into all modes fine except 2wd, tested and confirm even when 4x4light is off truck is still in 4wd.

When pushing it to 2wd it feels like the shifter hits its furthest position forward but its just a little bit short of reaching 2wd..

Any thoughts?

Likliest cause? The "Gate" on the shifter is misadjusted

Leave the BIG bolt tight, loosen the small bolt and push
the "gate" all the way forward...

Then shift the T-case firmly into 2wd (fully forward)
then adjust the gate back so it doesn't touch the lever.

Hey, Yep thats the issue, guess when the new trans was put in right before I bought it they didnt bother checking that.. Hopefully it can move forward enough. I got the small bolt out but cant budge the sonb**ch, so my buddy is helping me in his shop today.. Hard to get leverage while laying down :) hopefully all goes well.

You DO NOT need to REMOVE the small bolt you only need to back it off
a turn or so.

You MAY need to loosen the big bolt 1/2turn.

It's not something they "check" it's something that is adjusted
by the bolts that hold it on and most people don't know it NEEDS
to be adjusted during assembly
