I have a 90 ranger, and today I jacked it up to inspect the front end. When I did the bearing test on the drivers side, it wobbled, but I noticed that it also caused the axle itself to move with the wobble. Is that normal for it just being a wheel bearing?

Did you grab it at 12 and 6 or 9 and 3. It could very well be wheelbearings, as well as ball joints and or Tie Rod Ends.

Its not ball joints or tie rods, those didn't have any play in them. Also I grabbed it 12 and 6 when I wobbled it. I have a bad upper ball joint on the other side, but on that their wasn't any movement in the axle.

The axle shaft engages into the locking hub (which is part of the wheel assy), I would expect a wobble from a loose bearing to show up as movement in the axle as well.

i think you have the same problem as i do except its my rear end mines moves out about an inch when

i go around corners i can hear it thudding i dont know what it is but its annoying
