My credo
Failing is easy. Everyone can do it.
I'm getting the items together for the tune up on the ol' girl.

Now I picked up the Accel cap and rotor. And of course--it's made in China.

I was really hopeful to get something with good quality and on par with Motor Craft. (Motor Craft would have been my first choice, but $$ is tight and that would have been more $$. Plus I get the feeling I'll be seeing 'made in china' on the packages.

So I'm getting the order prep'd via Rock Auto. As expected, I'll be using the NGK V-Power plugs again. (If somethings always worked extremely well? Why change?)

BWD/NIEHOFF
PROSPARK
PACE SETTER
FEDERAL PARTS
KEMPARTS
BOSCH
AUTO-TUNE
UNITED IGNITION WIRE
STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS
PRESTOLITE
MOTORCRAFT
DENSO
CHAMPION
ACDELCO

I've got the Motor Craft spark plug wires sitting in my 'cart'...but I'm not pulling the trigger yet. Due to seeing just how much crap China is importing? I'd like to support some USA workers on this wing-ding--at least in some...

So what wireset would be considered "High End" and doing the job the best?

Feedback is always welcome.

Not really sure on this stuff yet, its been a long time since I've done a tuneup on an older vehicle. I'd say stick with whatever is cheapest, that's what I've been doing with my 84 bronco 2, I could care less anymore where its made, when you are on a tight budget you buy what you can. Even the stuff that says "Made In USA" I still have my doubts that it really is, could just be the box was made in the USA for all we know.

Motorcraft is what I would buy, though I think Bosch may be the same thing (Bosch wires I bought some years ago for my Ranger were identical to the stock Motorcraft wires other than the printing on them). I would not consider anything else other than these two.
