Iv had a project for the last couple years now,and im getting som time to work on it.87 ranger iv got the eb axels under it..as of rigjt now i threw some 4" lift springs foe a 79 f 150 in it and i need more lift. I want to be able to run 33-35" tires . My question is what lift spring are all thw guys useing to set thwir rangers up...? I dont see in amy info what ones...of you happen to have a link to a conversion that says so ,or even a part number that would be awesome! Let me know guys thanks

I stopped by the summit store in Arkansas I think and picked up a set of 6" skyjacker springs 1766's I think. I'm not home and when I zoom in that far with my phone it blurs too much to read. I would suggest getting some progressive rate coils from James Duff they'll be smoother then the ones I have. They'll flex more too.

Ok,yea the 79,f150 4" springs clear the cross member by about 2" figured id need 8" springs....maybe 6 will work. Don't want to end up buying 3 sets of coils. Anyone else who done it please post what lift ,tires and springs you used. Thanks guys!

I continuously see people using the EB coils. 3.5" lift EB coils usually net about 6" of lift on a ranger, and 6" coils apparently net up to 10" of lift. Bray D's build and some other popular build threads have been using the 3.5" EB coils. The springs are progressive from Wild Country, BC Broncos, James Duff, Bronco Graveyard, etc... I'm trying to find springs myself and it appears that the F150 coils may be too stuff for the application if you want a decent amount of flex. They all are progressive coils and they range from 205-220ppi uncompressed to around 307-350ppi compressed.

Certainly check some of the D44 build threads if you want to come up with your own conclusion; but that's what I've gotten so far. If you aren't worried about flex, use whatever coil.

Check out some of the build threads, there is all sorts of info in the under construction area.

BC Bronco coils are NOT progressive rate coils for the record.

you can get custom ones from Deaver if all else fails... i think thats how you spell Deaver lol 300-400 bucks tho
