...Ford as a Parts Counterman for a local Dealer in town.

i really really really want the Job!

Hey very good luck to you! At least I think you have more of a background with Fords than most. Just common sense sure helps a lot.

i put in the app that i worked for Roush. wonder if that helped any?

I'm sure they mainly want someone able to find exact part for people and be familiar with parts and able to make orders and greet customers.

I'm sure that you will be better than the guys at the dealership in Kenner, LA. If they had their way, they would sit there and look at you instead of help you. That was Lamarque Ford. Good on sales; never had the Mustang in for service.

The parts guy in Summerville, SC was awesome. He could get me the parts I needed for my old Windstar and actually they were pretty reasonable(for Ford parts). The thing is that the rotors on that sucked; replaced them every 25,000 miles until I found slotted rotors from Raybestos. Then I did not have to replace them ever; for past 75,000 miles.

Anyway, hope you get the job. I know I will avoid a dealership or go to it because of a good or bad parts department.

interviews done. i think i did good hope to hear back soon!

Good. I'm trying for an internship helping maintain the network. Good experience and they pay. Get me off that unemployment.

A good parts department can make all the difference as mentioned. I was into the local one so many times but they had a couple of "mature" guys how really knew their stuff, sometimes without going to the books or computer. Their sevice department on the other hand..............

Hey Smokeater, did you ever me Scott (I think that's his name) who does so much of the road design/testing for the Roushes?
