Same as what?

Manual windows don't need wiring.

door ajar, dome light, electric mirror some heated

If you have a power door and you found a manual door to replace it because of a dent or something. The manual door does not have any wiring in it unless it has a speaker. You will have to transfer the wiring from the power door to the manual door.

There would be 2 different wiring harness's in the dash and doors, without Power Group(manual windows) and with Power Group(power windows and door locks)

Power Group also needed added Relays, RAP Module and a different GEM module so not just wiring

If you have manual windows then there should just be 2 wires for the Door switch, turns on dome light when door is open

so how many wires for window and mirrors

so how many wires for window and mirrors

remove dash from donor and wiring on both sides of firewall. install in your rig.

Windows, drivers door needs 12v and ground wire, and 2 wires to passenger door, so 4 wires
Passenger door needs 12v and the 2 wires from drivers door(grounds), so 3wires

Mirrors, drivers door, 12v and ground, 3 wires to passenger door, 4 wires
Passenger door, just the 3 wires from drivers door

well my wire harness was in my moms barn and brother inlaw thought he would clean up and threw it away. I have a donor truck but when somebody took the doors they cut the plugs off and I dont know if it had the power stuff.my old doors has all the power stuff . I just need to know how many wires come out of cab

Ah. Now we have the context.

I'm just trying to se if my donor truck has the wires to hook everything up.

Are you saying there is a wire harness in dash just for the windows and one for everything else in dash or the one in the door as the second one?

Pretty sure he's saying that there's a "single" harness in the dash, but two potential versions of that harness. One for trucks with "Power Group" and one for trucks without.

+1 ^^^

And as said Power group also has extra relays as part of the different harness

That is what I was referring to in my post....It's easier to swap it all in it's entirety. The later system is easier then the earliest system in that regard. Not an easy job but it's just pull and replace. Hopefully the dash is the same color. just move It over.

Earlier trucks usually had rpo systems in place so in some regard it has potential to be easier. At least if you just want to lay in something you make.

But if you can do that...you won't be asking. So it's easier to swap it out.
