Wiring troubles

Ok first off I have tracked down the two wires to the distributor, oil level, oil pressure, and coolent temp for sure on my 89 harness which does not have the brown 8 pin plug instead a gray and black 8 pin plugs. Just wanting to know where the rest go and what I do with them? I have read the schmatics but of course doesn't tell you what plugs they go through. Also my B2 was originally carbed. So any help from anyone that has used roughly the the same harness would be much appreciated. I have looked at the one in the tech articles but that is for the harness with a brown 8 pin.

is that harness out of a stang?. it will work, you just have to cut the plugs off and track down what they all do . some of them you dont need though

What I usually do is to look at the 2 schematics side by side and grab a pencil and paper. Then I make a list of what colour wire goes to what. Once I've got my list, I am very rarely off track as to what needs to be done to make a circuit work. I learned this a long time ago and have shared this with a lot of guys who were yanking their hair out doing wiring on everything from V8 Rangers to Japanese tuner cars with more wires than motor LOL.

Thanks guys put I have done figured them out. Finally got some real schematics instead of the ones in the Haynes manuals, which are junk. Just one question where exactly can I hook the O2 sensor power to? I know I need hot in run but where though.

Definitely make sure you find the proper lead for it. An O2 sensor operates from .01v to 1v. If you go with a 5v or 12v signal you will fry it. Go back to the schematic and you'll find it
