I plan on doing an engine swap fairly soon whether it be a 4.0L or 302, I havent yet decided.
I am pretty well minded with mechanical and fabricating things. However, I am not so good with wiring. I know nothing about vehicle electrical systems minus your basic pos, neg, and grounds.
What will I need for a swap? The computer, the engines wire harness, the fuse panel, what else?
The purpose of splicing wires is so you dont have to rewire the dash? Any info is appriciated....

hey im puttin a 302 in my truck wiring u will need is the engine harness all the wiring under the dash board wires to the transmision and the gas tank the wire cluster for the lights ur best bet would be a 302 i got mine from a 88 f150 for free motor tranny transfer case all wiring i can post pictures soon here i took every wire out of the f150

Great article, Thanks!
What size tires you running dish towel?

I had 32's
Then I temporarily ran 29's
Am now rocking some rather underwhelming 35's, hoping to step up to some 35-36" INTERCO's
