the bolt doesnt come out, the big harness pig tail has probably never been pulled apart, so it might be stuck. make sure its unbolted, and then just wiggle it, and tug on it a bit. the bolt doesnt back out at all.
in fact when i do mine i untighten the bolt, then retighten it so i can see whats happening.
