I was under my little 89 BII yesterday getting ready to drop the tranny, and I notice I have some wires going into the rearend, what would these wires be for???

I was under my little 89 BII yesterday getting ready to drop the tranny, and I notice I have some wires going into the rearend, what would these wires be for???

ABS sensor
yup there is an "exciter ring" on the carrier that engages the sensor. basically its a toothed wheel flipping a switch so the ABS system can tell how fast the wheels are turning
so that explanes why there is a abs light on the dash and it's lit. bummer
