alrighty well im having a hard time figuring out this wiring problem my truck is a 92 ranger xlt 4L 4x4. it started out as my gauge lights not working so, first off i checked fuses one was popped changed it an then the light dimmer switch fried like the spring for the dimmer broke. Went to the wreckers bought a new on an again it fried. So i figured maybe there was a short on the cluster its self so i got a used one from a buddy an now still no gauge lights the dimmer isnt blowing anymore, but a different fuse keeps popping an it runs the night lights for the rear brakes.

so i have my triple gauges wired to a switch for the lights so i was just going to wire my gauge lights into the same switch. does anyone know what color wire is for the lights on the back of the cluster? i have the haynes manual but thats no help for wiring.

Brown is very common for instrument panel running lights
