Winter Tires

Hello All,
I have a 2wd ranger and I would like to get some winter tires I priced Hercules tires at $121 cdn per tire and goodyear ultra grip ice at $150 cdn does anyone have any experience with hercules tires or should just bite the bullet and get the goodyear's since I know they will work?

I don't know about the Hercules, if you go to www.tirerack.com and look up the Goodyears there will be owner reviews posted.

I have Blizzaks for my wife's Taurus which are the shiznit.
I have cheap generic snow tires on my Focus which are nearly as good.

Ontario, hmm. If you are looking for cheap tires got to Canadian Tire and get a set of I-pikes and maybe stud them. As for good relatively affordable tires, still at CT, get a set of Goodyear Nordics. They are made exclusively for Canadian Tire by goodyear and are great tires.

Run you roughly $110 a tire for a Ranger I think, but they may have a sale this week.

Just priced out a set of 215/75R15's today at Canadian Tire. Regular $110, on sale for $65. The sale ends Thursday so I would run in and grab a set with that smoking deal

Looks like CTC is your best bet like Mountain Mike said,Nordics are 25% off this week.Studs are illegal in Ontario

Really? I did not know that. People probably leave 'em on too long and teat up the pavement. The Nordics are great tires so that's what I would run with no studs.

Hello All,
I ended up getting the goodyear ultra grip ice tires for $125 cdn per tire I am considering putting the snows on the steel rims that came with the truck and getting some OEM alloy rims for the summer tires I really like 1994 alloy rim pattern .

i got 4 toyo Observe Go2 plus out the door for 625 cdn. rated 100k the intresting thing about the tire is that it has ground up walnut shells in the tire compound. there suposed to act like studs but not wear the road. kept my buddies 4x2 ram on the road no problem so figured id get them
