Will 2002 Windstar wheels fit a Ranger? I found some cheap studded snows on rims in my area, but I don't know if they will fit.

go onto tire rack and look up the lug pattern, and then you will have to see if they have a large enough center hole to fit the ranger

look up aftermarket wheels for the car and they have the bolt pattern listed with the aftermarket rims

Damn. Not a match.

Windstar:5-108
Ranger:5-114

Anyway, to blast another question out there.. do you know where I can find a converter to change lets say.. 225-75R16 into inches so I can compare the height/width to a pair of 235-75-R15?

go to google and type in mazda miata tire calculator. its the best one on the web, you type in the size they show you a pic comparing the two and tell you how off it will be.

and FYI. 225 is 225milimeters wide. 75 is the sidewall height so its 75% of 225. and well 16 is the rim.

Hmm.. the snow tires I have are about a half inch bigger, that makes me happy. I should be able to just use my current rims/tires (235-75R15) on the front with the snows I have on the back. (225-75R16)

he aint going to hurt anything by running a slightly larger tire in the front and a smaller tire in the rear for winter. Its not even going to do anything to his brakeing ablity. and he was looking to compare the size's of the tires not to change it to a standard size.

why not get 2 matching snow tires for the front?
being able to go is nice and all, but remember your front tires do 60+% of your stopping and ALL of your turning.
we have a metric to SAE tire converter in the tech library too:

I don't have the money to buy another pair, the ones I have were free from my brother. He wanted bigger tires on his F-Series.

The larger ones will be in the back. As for the braking ability, I believe Wicked Sludge was referring to the Studded tires as opposed to regular tires.

do you really have to attempt to call me out on every single post i make?

i wasnt saying that larger tires on the back would hurt anything. its 2wd, he could run it year round like that if he was so compelled.

i was saying that being able to go is only half the battle. one also needs to be able to turn and to stop, and the front end of the truck does most of the stopping and all of the turning, so studs on the front would be a good idea. but since he cant afford then, he'll just have to be careful.

unless his truck has 4 wheel abs.

even one different size tire on a truck with 4wabs will cause problems, now lets talk about 4x4 and different size tires.

How do I tell if it has 4 wheel abs? I don't think that was in Rangers until 1995, came standard on 4x4's and 4.0 liters.

i dont think you do have 4wheel abs. my 99 did not even have it.

and wicked-sludge yes i will call you out on every post because well i have read alot of your posts because well you have done it to me so i will only return the favor. Plus no were in your post did you talk about putting studded tires in the front of his truck, all you said was matching winter tires. IMO i dont like studded tires they make noise and suck ass in the rain. but then again im not pimping out a busted escort like yourself.
