Hello all! I have a 97 Ranger with a cracked windshield. I’ve been able to find some close by but the years are not the same.

From what I’ve looked up and into, certain years will work. For example, a 94 or a 98 would work. Trying to confirm this before I visit the yards and grab something that won’t work. Appreciate any and all info on this matter.

TIA

I would think anything from 93-2011 would work. 93-97 would for sure.

93-97 for sure will work... I am sure that at least a few years past '97 will also work. IIRC my glass guy mentioned that there are some differences as far as the tint strip at the top, rearview mirror button, etc and there may be different part numbers that will all work.

Good luck removing a used windshield. It is very difficult to get them out without breaking.

That’s what I’ve seen from other threads on this site. I figured this was a say place to ask considering the (almost daily) documentstion as well as how many others before me have asked this question. Unlike the book at the scrap yard that has been updated since it was bought 20 plus years ago.

thanks Shran. I appreciate your insight. The glass will do what it wants to do. I’m well aware. Luckily, I have some experience with working with it.
