Go to a junk yard. I had a Sundance with a crack windshield, $75 for the glass, $75 for someone to install.

ok thanks, i had thaught about going to a junkyard but cars at the junkyard are totalled so i figured i wouldnt find a windshield for my truck that wasnt broken, but ill check it out. i know my friend payed an enormous amount of cash for a brand new one for his cherokee.

I never replaced one for a ranger but on my old integra I had replaced for $285 installed and they came to my house to do it.

my friend payed like 400 to have his replaced, and they even did it wrong. when it rained water would get thru. the business shut down a week later... guess we know why

That sucks. They told me I needed to wait four hour before I could drive so it could set, maybe he didn't wait? sucks none the less tho.

If you don't know exactly what you're doing, good luck removing one without breaking it. Glass gets more and more brittle with age and they're sealed in very tightly.

Not just to discourage you, but windshields are tricky if you've never done one. Also remember that your windshield is a structural component of the vehicle so installing one wrong could have negative effects in a crash/rollover.

i just paid 150 for a new windshield in my 94 and they came out to my house to put it in

place by me did it for $125

had to drive it there tho

seems like it varies depending on where you live. around here the best i could find was just over $200 for new glass, installed at my house.

It's better to just have it done. You should be able to get a Ranger done cheaply because it is such a common vehicle. As was said, there is a large chance you will break it.

hehe, i've always kicked mine out......... lol and scraped it and was waiting on the glss guy to show up, not every day a mech a nic gets to BREAK something...

I paid $147 installed for the windshield in my '87 last year and it's the same exact piece of glass as your '91

Check the local auto glass places.

Not the web, your Yellow pages.
