I have a 88 ranger and when i turn on the windsheild wipers they dont work on any of the three speeds but fast and thats it they will not work on slow or medium. i replaced the lever and still no fix what else could cause this?bad windsheild wiper motor?please help

it also doesnt work when you pull the lever to clean the windsheild it just squirts the fliud out and you have to turn it on high to work.Is this a bad motor? or what please help

where is the switch? i have replaced the lever on the steering and still nothing if thats the switch you talking about.

well i think ive found my problem i switched out the motor from another ranger just to make sure that wasent the problem and pulled another switch on the steering wheel and put it on there still nothing.but i started hearing a clicking sound under the dasha and found a little black box that the wires go to and it clicks when i try to change speeds so am going to pull that off the other truck and see

that didint fix it either so far ive replaced wiper motor the switch and the harness with the black box on it so am guessing its a loose wire somewhere between the fuse box and the motor.what do you guys think?

mine does the same thing...90% of the time its the multifunction switch on the steering colum just been too lazy to change mine yet

its the wiper module.i had the same problem (only high) .always thought it was the motor or switch but its not

Where is the wiper module located?

i got mine fixed i followed the wiring from the switch on the steering colum and went down to a little black box and it was bad so i switched it out from another ranger and it works.only thing that sucks is you cant buy them new from ford or any parts store they dont make them anymore

my buddy saw them on ebay but they wanted $60.i just went to the pic-a-part and got 2 for $5

So it's the little brown box, or the black one beside it? I haven't even looked under the dash yet, maybe I should do that, lolo.

Thanks for the reply guys!!
